22oz into a snifter. Pours jet black w/ a thick mocha head that settles pretty quickly to a thin film.

Aroma is rich black coffee, chocolate, and dark roasted malt. Smells tasty.

Taste is sharply bitter, roasty. Strong dark coffee, chocolate, roasted malt. Great balance.

Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, coating with a bitter, semi-dry finish.

Overall a surprisingly tasty coffee stout.

A: Poured jet black with no carbonation leaving no bubbles, no lacing, no head...nada

S: Coffee, chocolate and roasted malt

T: Immediate espresso, roasted malt and cocoa. There is loads of old like, stale Folgers coffee on the back end with astringent, bitter finish.

M: Big body but flat.

O: Pass on this one. The ultimate lack of carbonation kills this beer.

A gift growler from some of the breweries employees that came over mountains.

Poured into 10oz glass. Poured a slightly translucent black with a thick, creamy, dark tan head that had decent retention and lacing.

The aroma is predominately coffee with nice malt undertones. The flavor was less coffee intense and more beer-like with a nice hop tang on the end.

Body and mouthfeel were typical for the style.

Overall, a beer nice little. I don't drink coffee and don't like coffee in my beer. If you do like coffee beers, this one may be a little light on java for you, for me it was at a tolerable level. Worth trying if you're over on the dry side of the Cascades.
