The brewery calls this beer a "Imperial Session IPA". Uh, OK, whatever. Served in straight pint glass. Poured a lightly hazy dark yellow color with just a thin cap of white head that had very low retention and OK lacing.

The aroma had loads of very bright citrus notes, along with some pine and floral aspects, and didn't really much of a malt presence. While very good, the flavor profile was the same, lots of bright and tangy citrus hops, with the pine playing a small support role, the combination made for a very bold taste.

The body was on the thin side, but I think that's what the brewer was going for, and the beer had a clean, dry finish. Drinkability was excellent, these guys go down easily, and I could see having a nice long session with this beer. Overall, confusing name aside, this is a very good beer, leaning towards great. An absolute must try if you see it, and probably worth the effort to try to find a few pints.
