Sweet, malty smell out of bottle.

Taste is very malty sweet out of bottle. A little too much so for what I expect from an amber.

Nice orange-red color, slightly cloudy. No head.

Still sweet smell out of glass. Slight acetaldehyde.

Nice bite at front of mouth and sides of tongue. Slight apple.

I think the look is the best thing about this beer.

This is a perfectly acceptable, sessionable amber, but nothing more.

Pours a clear, well, amber with a smallish head that falls away far too fast. The aroma is malty and a little spicy, with a little hop bite. The flavor is malty, bready, some light caramel, with a cinnamon-y burn down the back of the throat and a a prickle of carbonation on the mouthfeel.

Poured into a standard pint a lighter amber shade with a well formed but quick to fade white head that left no lace as it settled.Real muted aromas,I picked up some toasted grain, and faint caramel and that pretty much it.Flavors have a little more to them with toasty grainy flavors and caramel/biscuit malt being the most assertive on the palate, there is a light herbal hop presence in the back end.Pretty ho hum,its not a drain pour but its to bland to ever seek out again really.

pours a clear amber-red with a small dirty-white head, and some lacing.

smell of grain, caramel, malt, some nuts, few hops, earthy.

taste is thick and oily, grainy, some caramel, sweet malt, touch of citrus, a little pine in the back, and some nuts, end is bitter and slightly sour.

12oz bottle picked up at Huckleberry’s in Spokane. I picked up a porter from Scuttlebutt at the same time.

Poured an orange-amber color, with a modest, off-white head. While the head’s not terribly big, things stayed foamy for quite a while. Sheets of lace made a brief appearance whenever the glass was tilted. A certain amount of sediment can be seen floating about when held up to light. Looks like this has been sitting for a while.

When I get a whiff of this, I think cheap supermarket hotdog buns. Bready maltiness is the most dominant aspect of the nose in this beer. This smells like a lot of amber ales – modestly sweet and inoffensive, with nothing to make a hophead sit up and take note.

This tastes pretty much how it smells. It’s an inoffensive but otherwise bland amber ale similar to many hundreds brewed all across America. While not a malt bomb, it’s obvious the hops have not been invited to the show in numbers that are even vaguely noteworthy. As things warm up, there’s a very slight citrusy tartness to the flavor. At the swallow, there’s a very faint dry note, but it’s almost imperceptable.

This is an average beer brewed in a style that is pretty ho hum. If I were trying to get a friend to drink something besides B/M/C, I might recommend this to them, but it’s otherwise not very noteworthy.

Pours a magnificent red sap with a nice off white head that dissolves as the session goes on. The smell is a very light but pleasant floral and hints of pine trees. A butter cup molasses is slightly detected. The taste has a nice citrus ping to it, light enough so non-hop lovers will like it, but also hop fans will be happy as well. Perfectly rounded, a nice plum taste goes nicely with the caramel malts. Lighter than many Amber's but still tasty. Very drinkable, good session beer.
