Poured from a 22 oz bomber into a tulip.

A - Deep amber color fairly clear with about 2 fingers of foamy white head that quickly dissipated. Good lacing left on the glass.

S - Big caramel and toffee notes on the nose with a hint of some grass. Not much here.

T - First you get hit with a large toffee caramel malt quickly followed by a nice floral, piney hop presence. Somewhat bitter on the back end but pretty well balanced.

M - Fairly light and easy drinking but a close enough to medium to make it pretty solid. Good amount of carbonation leaving a slight prickle on the tongue.

O - This isn't too bad. Very easy drinking. However its not blowing my hair back or anything. A decent representation of the style.

Poured into a nonic a rich clear bronze with a soapy looking half finger light beige head atop that left a few broken rings of lace as it settled,I loved the rich clarity in color.Caramel and brown sugar mainly in a light nose with some malty fruitiness, hops are scant. The flavors came out more as I drank more, caramel and toffee with some buttery tones, the hops came into play late giving off a light resiny note.I bought it because I wanted something to drink while busy around the house with not much frill and that's what it is,it's not half bad, just don't be looking for a an uber hopped amber.

22 oz bottle served in a SA lager glass.
Red-brown body covered by a bone-colored head that's small but durable.
This otherwise bland amber is redeemed by a surprising (i.e., not evident in the aroma or initial taste) bit of spicy hop flavor that comes in the finish and lingers on in the aftertaste.
Feel: Crisp, medium body with medium+ carbonation.
Improved with some warming.

P: 22 OZs bomber, poured into a tulip glass...

A--A light brown/amber hue with a small, thin head.

S--Sweet, malty, carmely with a faint smell of hoppiness.

T--Semi-sweet, roasted, carmely malt dominates with a hint of chocolate and a slight citrusy hop backbone. Tasty and refreshing!

M--Medium carbonation with acreamy texture. pretty smooth.

D--Pretty tasty, clean, refreshing red/amber...I've been let down by Scuttlebutt lately (Gale Force IPA/and other variations of their IPAs...too soapy in flavor)...But they did a good job wih this one...Chasin' Cheers :~)

A: Pours a crystal clear amber in color with light amounts of active visible carbonation streaming from the bottom of the glass and some deep golden yellow + burnt orange highlights. The beer has a four finger tall dense foamy beige head that slowly reduces to a two finger tall medium sized cap with a finger thick layer covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of caramel malts with brown sugar sweetness and some moderate aromas of herbal hops.

T: Upfront there are moderate to strong flavors of caramel malts with just a very light hint of brown sugar sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of herbal hops and light flavors of pine hops which imparts a moderate to strong amount of bitterness which fades after a short amount of time..

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: Not bad but not really anything special either - decent flavors but there is a bit too much bitterness in my opinion. I'm glad I found it and decided to try it but I would not run out to get it again.

Pours a hazy dark orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Small patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and some subdued citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus fruit and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that is fairly drinkable but the hop presence seems somewhat old all around.

I am on a Red Ale kick lately and decided to try this one picked up in a self created mix pack from the co-op in MT Vernon. Pretty decent red from a brewey that I haven;t had great success with in past. The nose is hoppy but the beer is quite malty and very drinkable. Doesn't have the rounded mouthfeel as much as say Jamaica Red from Steelhead but it is well balanced and I would buy this again.
