Some people have compared Scuttlebutt to a standard brewpub boilerplate and come away disappointed. I just accept the place for what it is and enjoy the heck out of it. This is a waterfront fish'n'chips house. It's nothing special. There's not even a real bar to park at. With its nautical theme and diner-like simplicity, it almost feels like a place you'd sit and wait for a ferry. But the beer is outstanding, and low prices make it an exceptional value.
The restaurant was reborn from an old seafood plant. Turn the place around and you'd have great views of the Everett Marina. You could even arrive by boat and moor not a hundred meters away. As it stands, you get a view of the railroad and a classy waterfront parking lot. The usual life rings and yachting pennants line the walls of the front room. Behind a glass wall is a second room with wooden wainscoting used sometimes for private parties.
Scuttlebutt pours six regular beers, two seasonals and no guests. They trend towards standard models but are clean, flavorful, and well executed - a solid notch above average, especially the porter, blonde, and IPA. Most are available to go in six-packs or bombers and are distributed throughout the Puget Sound region. They also sell Scuttlebutt schwag in the form of flip-top growlers, ceramic coasters and more.
Food is routine - they actually call it "grub" - but it's popular and the house gets crowded on weekends. Be sure to get your name on the waiting list as there's no hostess to do that for you. I found service otherwise attentive and got more smiles than I'd expect on a winter's day. Catch happy hour and you'll enjoy the most ridiculously cheap prices on beer and appetizers anywhere.

Place is crazy busy on most date/family dinner nights so get there early. Has a pretty good locale if only the Everett waterfront looked better but not a huge deal. Good happy hour and local flavors for food (try the Po Boy, simple and it has bacon!) Usually have a good array of their beers, try to get a Triple 7 or 10 Below, two of my favorites but hard to get as they go fast when on tap. Service can be a bit slow only because of the amount of people that come when it gets busy so try to go in off hours. Go have lunch and a beer or two, you will come away feeling full and feeling good.

Nice brewpub on the waterfront, went there for happy hour, nice little bar area and a draft list that includes their standard bottled ales as well as some draft only releases. 2.50 a pint from 2-6 during the week you can't beat that. It stated to get a little busy and bar staff seemed shorthanded. Other than that its a solid place to hang out and grab a brew. Not the most happenin joint in town but everyone is nice and its relaxing. happy hour bar food deals are a great value to go with the beer. Big screen tv right in behind the bar for the sports games. Just beware and make sure to let your beer warm up a little, they serve in frosted glasses which made their blonde ale turn into ice cubes for a little bit.

Clean, simple, new, contemporary brewpub sitting right on the water. Great view of sailboats and the waterfront near the Navy base in Everett.
Roughly 10 different taps, and a few one offs. Nitro-Red was alright but the Dry Hopped IPA was awesome. Most of their other beers are just average and are bottled. Pretty easy to find around town.
A phenomenal happy hour, with $2 pints and great appetizers. Food was decent, basic brewpub, but consistent offerings. Attentive staff with mostly younger people working, and seemingly a blend of regulars and families in for dinner.
Overall, felt a bit generic and a lot like an Applebees or something. You could have a similar experience in many different places. Lacked character and aesthetic, while offering excellent pricing and a great view.

They moved to a new location as of April 2011.
The beer is nothing spectacular but very decent.
The food is nothing spectacular but very decent.
Very nice location near the water on the Everett waterfront just North of the Navy base. $3.43 per pint for most beers? Seriously? $2 per pint happy hour? Seriously?
Good selection of a wide variety of beer styles. The usual suspects - IPA, a Tripel (nice), Amber, Red.
Decent food, decent beer nice brewpub near the water.
Well worth the visit. Enjoy a beer and decide for yourself.
