Clearer than I expected. Light orange color, some head.

Strong wheaty smell. Slightly sweet and inviting. It makes me want to drink it which, i believe, is the idea.

Sweetness from the first sip, but not overpowering. Tastes wheaty with some sourness in the finish. It's good.

Full-bodied and foamy to creamy. Excellent mouthfeel for this style.

Very good beer and a nice alternative to the usual Belgian style whites.

a wit with lavender, interesting. the pour is a pale cloudy yellow color, real washed out looking and a little thick from all the sediment. good inch and a half of white foam on top that lasts. smells like perfume and springtime, probably overdone one the lavender, but pleasing to my senses nevertheless. I smell coriander too, which works. the flavor is dominated by the flowers, and it feels a little funny as a result. the wheat malt is also a little strong in this, it drinks heavy for an intended light beer. herbal notes in the finish, and a lasting blast of lavender on the tongue. not as well balanced as it could be, but it also tastes pretty good. I think a lot of empire beers could use a lesson in balance and subtlety, but this still works as it is. soften the edges here and its a winner.

A: A hazy golden yellow in color, a nice finger of off white head at the top that left some nice lacing around the glass.

S: Lots of tropical fruit on the nose for this beer, some slight hints of a spice I could not put my finger on.

T: The taste follows the nose on this brew, some nice notes of spice as well, but lots of tropical fruit throughout.

M: Light to medium bodied and a good amount of carbonation.

O: Not a bad beer at all, had this one on a craft beer cruise around Manhattan, this was a very refreshing beer.

Served on-tap at The GIngerman in New York, NY

A: Pours a very lightly hazy orange in color with moderate amounts of visible carbonation and some apricot highlights. The beer has a half finger tall fluffy white head that reduces to a couple of small to medium sized thin patches, some very thin film covering about 50% of the remaining surface of the beer, and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of wheat, citrus - lemon and orange rind, and spices - coriander and ginger stand out.

T: Upfront there is a moderate wheat malt flavor underneath stronger flavors of lemon citrus, ginger, and lavender. Underneath there is a light amount of honey sweetness along with the traditional flavors of orange peel and coriander.

M: Light bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.

O: Easy to drink and refreshing on a hot day - I enjoyed the addition of the ginger for spiciness. The ginger made this one stand out from many of others in the style, making it a bit unique.
