A: Coppery orange. One finger of creamy white head lasted over 30 minutes. Lacing down the entire mug.

S: Initially has a very musty hop odor. Light caramel aroma, chestnut nuttiness with a slight metallic tone. Improved quite a bit with warmth. Everything became more integrated, sweeter, and pleasant. Deeper notes of toffee, molasses, and biscuit.

M: Medium, soft and chewy body. Very active carbonation, but moderate overall in feel.

T: My overall impression was a hoppy vienna lager, though it was brewed with English malts. Not that sweet. Pretty well balanced with hop bitterness at the end. Overriding orange fruit character worked well with light caramel notes and spice. If I had to guess I'd say they used Northern Brewer hops. Lots of good woody flavor, birch bark, light pine, and grassy mint. Some metallic remains too, which is the only detractor for me.
