A malt dominated beer with roasted malt, chocolate, nutty and or toasty flavors. Medium to high bitterness with noticeable hop aroma and flavor. Brown to dark brown color.
Slow Down Brown is the most decorated beer we brew winning many, many medals at the GABF and World Beer Cup. It is darker in color and richer in flavor than most brown ales on the market but that’s what makes it stand alone.
35 IBU

This brown is more complex than many and is really dark in color. The beer has great mouth feel throughout the drinking and swallowing process. Now it has the requisite hints of chocolate and roasted flavors and is fairly thick in terms of body, but that's a good thing as it really is satisfying and drinkable.

Excellent beer. Delicious and filling. Drank this as dessert after a eating a pizza for post-graduation-celebration lunch at Il Vicino and truly did not want to stand up afterwards. Seems the "slow down" brown lived up to its name.
Very chocolaty, with a soft milk-shake-like texture. Very yummy.

Off the tap in Santa Fe, this beer was a deep mahogany color. The head was tan, the retention good and the lacing in fishnets. The aroma was subtle, toasted malt, and caramel malt. The flavors started with a hint of tartness and some earthy malt that then gave way to a more toasted character. Hints of nuts were present but the hop profile was lacking. The finish lingered on the toasted malt note. The mouthfeel was smooth, the body medium but watery and the carbonation too soft. Sessionable and pair-able with food but mediocre as a stand alone libation.

Poured a deep, dark brown. Not much of a head at all but most browns that I ahve don't. The smell was malty and somehwt blah. Had a good taste of malt, sugar and some caramel. Overall,i thought it was a decent brown and maybe one of the best beers here..sadly.

Dark brown kinda like a diluted stout in color and looked flat with very tiny head. The smell was malty and bland with a faint damp wood smell. Had a syrupy malt flavor with a significant alcohol taste. The mouthfeel is kinda bitter and dries out the mouth probably due to the alcohol content. It would probably be more drinkable if they could hide the alcohol taste.
