Poor head with no retention or lacing coppery amber in color. Smell is slightly of honey. Taste is bitter with honey notes. Leaves a very dry finish. Light on carbonation and light bodied.
Reminds me of pilsner urquell. I bet this has saaz hops in it.
Not that impressive.

Served from the tap in a small nonic glass at the brewpub.
Named for the Norse personification of the sea, a giant associated with the art of brewing. So, this is what he'd make? Let's see: This stuff pours a clear copper-brass topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises grass, flowers, light caramel, and a hint of biscuit. The taste brings in more of the same, along with a bit of chalk for good measure. The body is a rather light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a liquid feel. Overall, though nothing all that bad, really, I doubt AEgir would like to have his name attached to this, especially with better beers being brewed at this very brewery. This one's just kinda there.

Sampled today, review from notes. Honey yellow gold, a meager ring of lace at the edge. Good clarity. Nondescript inoffensive aroma, maybe a hint of pale malt. Some peach/pear flavor, not especially sweet, with an underlying foundation of pale malt. Mild carbonation. No trace of the "carefully selected hops" mentioned in the menu description. Pretty ho hum, not the best of the bunch, but ok.
