Notes & Commercial Description:

Served in September 2012.American light lagers and Pilsners are easy to drink and refreshing. They are not, however, easy for a craft brewer to make – but we are always up for a challenge. Pilsner malt and flaked rice provide sweet cereal grain notes while German and Czech hops add spiciness and a balanced bitterness to the finish. Cold fermented and aged with a German lager yeast, the palate is clean with a snappy finish.

12 oz can was poured into a nonic glass.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a golden straw yellow with great clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass.

Smell: Pilsner malts, cereal grains, lager yeast, spicy, herbal, and grassy hops.

Taste: Same as above with mild hop bitterness in the rear.

Mouthfeel: Light, crisp, refreshing, a little chewy, and medium carbonation.

Overall: Draft or bottle, alright alright. I'll be enjoying these again in the future.

12 oz can. Undated.
Light pale color with a weak head.
Rather ordinary but veering off in the use of citrus -tinged hops.

Poured from a 12 oz. can, and yes, that can was provided by the incredible woodychandler. Has a bright yellow color with a 1 inch head. Smell is mild, some malty sweetness. Taste is malt forward, some lemons, a bit of sweetness, no real hops to speak of. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

Thanks to Chico1985 for randomly giving me this with a few other good looking beers. Best by 04/19/15. Another music themed brew on the scene.

A- The 12oz can drops a mostly clear, uber pale yellow beer into my glass with a frothy white head. That crown rises over one finger with decent retention falling to a large blanket at the edges. Lacing is spotty with a few bands.

S- Plenty of grains fill out the aroma with a freshly cracked, raw feel. Providing balance and overshadowing the malts just a bit are herbal and spicy hop tones.

T- Hops gather some punch here with herbal, spicy, grassy, lemon zest tones and bitterness on the back end. Cereal, freshly cracked malts, raw grains and a hint of something like bread crust.

MF- Creamy and actually somewhat chewy coming down at a medium-high thickness for this style. High end carbonation lends to that puffiness and it all finishes fairly bitter.

Each and every sip seems to get better and better with this beer. Strong presence of cracked Pils grains balanced nicely by strong European hop tones.
