Notes & Commercial Description:
Beer added by: UncleJimbo on 12-01-2013

Served in September 2012.American light lagers and Pilsners are easy to drink and refreshing. They are not, however, easy for a craft brewer to make – but we are always up for a challenge. Pilsner malt and flaked rice provide sweet cereal grain notes while German and Czech hops add spiciness and a balanced bitterness to the finish. Cold fermented and aged with a German lager yeast, the palate is clean with a snappy finish.

A: The beer is slightly hazy light yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that died down, leaving a large patch of bubbles on the surface, a thin collar around the edge of the glass, and bits of lacing down the sides.
S: Light to moderate aromas of sweet, bready malts are present in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has flavors of bready malts along with bits of sweetness. Little if any bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and has some nice malty flavors and sweetness without feeling heavy on the palate.

Decent starting head that settles first to a dome and thin to thick rim bubbles. Very cloudy. Straw color. Some chunky globs for lace.

Mostly pale malt nose with no graininess. There's a touch of sourness as well.

For a "Light", this is quite flavorful. Lots of hop bitterness that I did not pick up at all in the smell. It leaves a moderately long aftertaste. The soft, pale malt is in the background on this one. Solid body for the style with plenty of carbonation. In all, far better than I expected. (507 characters)

12 oz can. Undated.
Light pale color with a weak head.
Rather ordinary but veering off in the use of citrus -tinged hops. (123 characters)

12 oz. can poured into a snifter (Best By: 4/19/15)

A: Light, white wine color. Thick fluffy head. Lacing and puffy collar.
S: Airy with some fruity esters.
T: Lightest of pilsner flavors, not even all that hoppy, let alone flavorful.
M: Light carbonation.
O: Not good at all. I preferred SN's Hoppy Beer Camp Lager. (325 characters)

Poured from a 12 oz. can, and yes, that can was provided by the incredible woodychandler. Has a bright yellow color with a 1 inch head. Smell is mild, some malty sweetness. Taste is malt forward, some lemons, a bit of sweetness, no real hops to speak of. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer. (317 characters)
