A - Creamy foam which dissipates to reveal a complex lacing on the glass. Darker orange color, but not thick.

S - Nothing overwhelming, but as the label advertises, "wildflowers and fresh cut grass" - meaning to me, a freshness that doesn't over power.

T - Certainly lives up to over stuff I've had from CBC. Very tasty. The mild carbonation eases off to a light finish, and though hoppy, the taste doesn't linger for too long.

M - The taste doesn't overwhelm, but this is a good thing. The I had mine not ice-cold, but a few minutes from the fridge and it tastes superb.

O - Great summer beer. Nothing heavy and very well rounded. I will drink this again.

Had on tap at the otherside- pours a clear yellow color; visibly effervescent with a 1.5 finger head, good retention and nice lacing.

Smell is fine- pale malt and citrus hops. Nothing exciting.

Taste is consistent with smell- more malt than hops. Pale malt with a little yeast and a little citrus hops.

Mouthfeel is fine as well- light body, moderate carbonation. I won't get this again.

On tap @ the Cambridge Brewing Company (Cambridge, MA) on 3/12/11. Served in a pint glass.

Pours a clear copper, with thin creamy bright-white colored head. This stays frothy on the edges, which retains roughly a ½ finger flare-up, and leaves back a good deal of robust spotty lacing. The aroma is floral, with a touch of spice and pine mixed in as well. Some light tropical fruit and sweet doughy grains add a nice degree of softness here to the nose. Like I said, this feels "soft" in the nose but it's still definitely got some flavor going on here.

The taste is moderately assertive with grapefruit, pine, and pithy rind. Some softer citric fruit notes, like orange and lemon, works with a nice supportive backbone of sugary malt sweetness across the back to help real some of the bitterness in. This finishes with a dry lingering pithy bitterness that fortunately doesn't hang too hard. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a firm sharp creaminess that expands out. There is a touch of smooth sleekness underneath the sharpness but this is overall maybe a little too prickly with the feel. I will say though that the ABV is well hid and helps keep this drinking decently.

While certainly nothing mind-blowing, I found this to be a completely serviceable IPA from Cambridge, a style that I must say I don't usually find on tap here during most our visits. I'd love to try some other hoppy offerings from here, as this was quite good.

Bottle poured into a tulip glass, probably a bit old at this point. Beer pours a slightly hazy golden color with a finger of off white loose foam head. Head dissipates quickly, leaving some light lacing. Very effervescent, many tiny bubbles streaming up in lines along the edge of the glass.

Nose is pretty dank herbal and floral, ripe orange, caramel malt.

Taste is just a moderate dank herbal and floral hop, light citrus peel bitterness, mild yeast ester and caramel malt.

Light body and nicely effervescent. Unfortunately, the flavor is pretty mild.

A: poured into a nonic pint to a deep yellow with a dense and rocky two finger head that retains well and has good lacing
S: smells of citrus, tropical fruit and a little pine oil. slight sweetness but mostly hops on the nose
T: taste is grassy and floral with some citrus and pine, slight tropical fruit and a hint of malt sweetness. swallow is piney and resinous oily hop goodness with a little citrus
M: this beer sits on the lighter side of medium on the palate with soft and adequate carbonation. the finish on this beer is oily from the hops but in a good IPA way
O: A delicious and well crafted IPA that hails from the wrong coast but could be mistaken as coming from the West.
