This pours a dark roasty brown with a bit of carbonation/lacing that lingers. It has a nice coffee and malt aroma. Flavor reminds me of cacao nibs, lightly roasted without much standing out, and pleasantly sweet. Mellow, on the lighter end of the stout spectrum but not weak, with a sweet finish. Very smooth sailing. Served on nitro. (334 characters)

This is one of the five winter beers offered at Cambridge Brewing, an Irish dry stout. Served in a shaker pint on nitro-tap, on to the beer:

Once the cascading effect is done, the beer settles into a black body topped by a milky tan head. It's drinkable like all the other dry stout, and quite tasty to boot. The overall flavor is soft, a mix of coffee and cream, but chocolate malt balls are the most distinguishable of the bunch. Perhaps it's a good thing this beer's only available 3,000 miles away because I would be filling growlers of this stuff every week if the source were closer to me. (596 characters)
