Huge thanks to Jason for the extreme rarity. Only given to guests or the brewer's wedding, apparently. I hope the euphoria lasted. A sour lychee beer aged in Chardonnay barrels. The bottle looks very nice, with gold foil and a tasteful picture of the couple on the front gazing into each other's eyes while sharing an embrace.
A: Transparent sunshine yellow with a massive white head.
S: The lychee is super aromatic, and it's accompanied by a floral presence and robust yet well integrated Chardonnay notes. Light tartness.
T: Lychee is very strong throughout. Tartness is light. Evident Chardonnay and oak. Light bitterness. Finishes with lingering fruit and oak.
M: Light body with low carbonation. Mouthfeel is dry and sticky.
Overall: A unique beer. The fruit is really pronounced and there's enough background structure to make it interesting.

On tap at CBC.
Pours a hazy yellowish color with a well-formed white head and decent lacing.
Aroma is excellent - the Belgian-ish blonde ale base is really enhanced by all they did to it. Oak, brett, white wine, and tropical fruits are big in this one.
Flavor is mildly sweet, mildly tart, and extremely tasty. This beer is champagne-like in a way, with white grape playing a big role. Other than that there is a great barrel presence, mild vanilla, and a strong fruitiness, with lychee and pineapple standing out. Brett and Belgian yeast as well.
Body is medium and the carbonation level is fairly lively. Not mouth-puckering at all, making this very drinkable. This was another impressive beer from these guys. After recording the tick from the sample, I actually ordered a full glass of this. Now THAT says something.
