Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a semi-clear golden yellow with a huge white head. The aroma is full of hops and flowers. The taste is hop driven. A really good beer.

Gold to light orange in color with brilliant clarity. About a half finger of slightly off-white head leaving a fair amount of lacing. Heavy apricot and peach in the nose, floral hops are prominent. Malt character is slightly biscuity, but fairly well restrained. The taste keeps in line with floral hops and adds a fair amount of bitterness as well. The fruit present in the aroma is more restrained in the taste. The taste has a strong refreshing quality to it. Medium-light body, fairly crisp. Dry finish with a touch of lingering bitterness.

Pour: On draft at The Jeffery in NYC. Poured into a tulip. Appearance: Hazy golden straw in color with a white head. Aroma: Not much going on here. Supposed to be a hop bomb? Taste: Not much going on here either. Some hops and a bit of honey and malty notes. Aftertaste: Slightly bitter on the backend. Overall: I was excited to try this but it left me underwhelmed. Maybe sat too long??

Poured from a 12oz can into an IPA glass.

Look is a hazy golden straw with an inch thick head.

Hops are very light an herbal. I would almost think they were faded if it wasn't still three months in code.

Nice light interplay of hops and malt. Borders on saison for me, but very good.

Quite good. Hops aren't biting, but a very nice IPA flavor. Smooth. Head dissipates relatively quickly. Flavor doesn't hang around too long. I could drink several in a night. Would definitely drink again.

Poured from a 12 oz. freshness dated can: bright and clear, golden-orange with a sustained, foamy head.

Very fresh aroma of tropical fruits and some pine.

This is a refreshing and well-hopped IPA that is restrained and quaffable. There is a comfortable and inviting bitterness of semi-sweet fruit and just the right hint of pine to make every sip a pleasure; minimal dankness and no off-flavors.

The body is somewhat light but there is a well-rounded mouth feel with a marmalade like sweetness on the palate.

I am very pleased that I tried this as I initially passed it on the shelf. It has the perfect hop and malt profile.

Bought this can (nice art work too) in a mix 6 from a suburban Liquor Barn. It has a very tasty hop profile and I'd really like to try it on tap. Not a local option sfaik.

Pours a hazy Amber with no particles. 1 finger head that hangs on. Smells like a lot of hops and citrus, grapefruit. Has minimal and earthy hop taste. Super, super thin mouthfeel as I drink it. Minimal lacing as drank. Strange brew considering the difference between aroma and taste.

Can to nonic pint glass. No date. The appearance was a soft hazy burnt yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated to a foamy lumpiness of lace. Light stringy rings weave around the glass. The smell has a nice floral to bitter sticky citrus to slight piney hops. The taste combines the sweet with the bitterness of the pine nicely. A dry citrus aftertaste leads to a quick dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation seemed good for the style and for me as there’s enough bitterness from the hops to still allow the level of harshness to be good for the style. Overall, I say this was a pretty good AIPA that I could have again.

Sixer of cans purchased at the Dunkin Donuts in Milton for ~$10. A semi-hazy light golden yellow with a creamy, almost pure white, lacy head. Nice sweetness and citrus fruit in the nose, which also comes through in the taste. A nice soft bitterness on the finish, but as the beer warms it begins to take on what I call a 'homebrew' taste. Mouth is a silky, medium body, super refreshing. Overall, a nicely balanced, easy drinking IPA, that unfortunately degrades as it warms.

A: Poured from the can into a tulip glass. Body is orangey with a 2-finger fluffy white head, which settles to leave behind plenty of lace.

S: Not strong enough for an American IPA, IMHO - I get a faint whiff of citrusy hops, predominantly grapefruit.

T: Citrusy hops (grapefruit) over a faint, straw-like malt. Also good piney, spicy hop bite on the finish and into the aftertaste.

M: Body is a bit light in heft and it's somewhat thin and watery. Feels more like a Session IPA than a "regular" one.

getting a nice floral aroma, notes of pine and malts. taste is really nice, predominately piney hop flavor with some citrus and sweet malt notes. very drinkable, overall good beer. I liked this beer quite a bit and would definitely drink another one, but there are definitely better IPA options out there in my opinion. still, glad I got to try it.

Very crushable, smells of bubblegum and grapefruit. Smooth and very subtle hops throughout that offer a fresh and sweet bite solid IPA from this brewery.

C.B.C. Flower Child has a thick, off-white head, a clear, orange-gold appearance, some ascending bubbles, and rather heavy lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of strong mango hop oil and pale malt. Taste is of that, with a strong hop bitterness developing by the third sip. Mouthfeel is medium, and C.B.C. Flower Child finishes dry and smooth.

Balanced and drinkable IPA with piney bitterness offset nicely with some subtle malt sweetness. Finishes quite dry. A crushable beer if ever there was one. This is an IPA I wouldn't have liked earlier in my craft days, that I now enjoy. The minimal sweetness and pine notes mesh well.

12oz can poured into a tulip. If there's a date on the can, I don't see it. Brought to me by the generous @mr-jj.

Pours pretty golden with a big head and lots of carbonation. Smell is very damped. Smells vaguely toasty and beery.

Taste, on the other hand, is pretty explosive. Powerful flower, strong pine bitterness. Nice.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and a little slick. Overall, nice beer.

Pours cloudy bright gold color with a foamy 2 finger white head that was full of bubbles of all sizes that faded slowly, leaving a layer on top and decent spotty lacing.

Smells of grapefruit, lemon zest, graham cracker, sweet malt, caramel, fresh piney hops, onion, light spices like pepper and coriander, and then some floral hops. Nice balance with a zesty mix of citrus and malty crackers most similar to graham cracker.

Tastes like it smells with grapefruit, orange peel, lemon, toasted grains, dry floral hops, graham cracker, sweet malt, caramel, fresh piney hops, oily citrus hops, grass, light spices like pepper and coriander. Earthy in general with what seems like a lot of dry hopping and a nice variety of citrus flavors. Well balanced and full of flavor, this is a nice tasting classic IPA.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation, a feel on the smooth side and a fine level of bitterness for an IPA. Overall a really solid beer.

Smell is of pineapple, some malt sweetness, a tropical fruit medley, and a hint of pine. The taste has a very tropical fruitiness to it with mango being very prominent for me. There is a nice bit of bitterness on the finish. I was pleasantly surprised with this IPA.

L - pours golden honey with tall fluffy white head
S - Resinous with tons of pine and honey sweetness
T - Soft pine with undertones of malt sweetness and a gentle bitter bite to finish
F - Soft mouthfeel, medium bodied with perfect carb

Overall, a refined old school piney IPA. Lovely beer

Pours a hazy golden orange color with nice white head and loads of carbonation streaming up. Very fruity nose with tons of citrus, mostly grapefruit and orange rind, fresh peaches, and spicy pine. The flavor initially hits you with bitterness, transitioning towards juicy grassy notes, pine, floral sweetness, with some indication of tropical fruits. The malts are balanced very nicely making for a clean, easy drinking IPA.

Really a smooth smooth IPA with a great smell and taste. Right off the bat you can smell floral scents for sure, very juicy, I even smelled a bit of pineapple even though others did not. The taste was very nice, good hops and very fresh, this one went down very easy.

Served on cask at Cambridge Brewing Co. Hazy orange body with a white head. Great lacing. Citrus hops, grass, caramel malt, and a bit of pine for the nose. Flavor is bright with a nice blend of both citrusy and grassy hops. Malt makes its case on the finish. High drink-ability.

Fresh and juicy, full of bright fruit and clean malt... grasses and citrus come across on the nose, big flavors assert on the taste - vibrant grapefruit with a dusty sweetness - medium-light body, ample carbonation, smooth and clean...

Serving: On tap at the brewpub, in a tulip glass
Served: 1 August 2015

Appearance: Pours a burnt-orange color with a thin, cream head. Leaves great lacing down the side of the glass and looks pretty great.

Smell: Bright grapefruit and citrus notes, along with a reasonable piney/grassy assertion that likely lends the beer its name. I didn't find anything overtly floral about it like some reviewers. Lemongrass and cajeput seems most accurate in my mind.

Taste: Smooth, sweet malts counteract a medium bitterness and topped with a nice hop finish. Really smooth and goes down easy.

Mouthfeel: Medium-high body with medium carbonation. Gives the beer body without feeling either heavy or light. Really hits the sweet spot with IPAs.

overall: A great beer, and one of the better IPAs available from a Boston-area craft brewer that's easily obtainable just about anywhere. Would recommend.

feel; smooth with some bubbles, crisp, medium body
overall; a crisp, full flavored lawnmower ipa if you have a small lawn, very nice
