I know I'm a little biased, but CBC was the first brewpub I ever went to. (Quickly followed by John Harvard in Harvard Square)

I recently revisited a few times during the period of the 2004 BA Belgian Beer Festival.

A fairly large place full of blond wood and tiles. Located in the middle of what passes for a strip mall in Cambridge right around the corner from MIT.

Sitting at the long bar around from the brewery, it easy to get a feel for the place and get a pint from a friendly bartender (or Will the Brewer). Food is good pub grub and overall the joint is easy to get into the groove of.

Beers are always interesting with both the "standards" necessary to introduce folks and the newer interesting experiments to keep the regulars and geeks going.

Atmosphere: This place is very inviting. It has a nice open concept overlooking the brewhouse through a large window. There are beers to go available on your way out (including growlers).

Service: The waitress I had was very knowledgeable and provided us with good service and suggestions.

Selection: This brewery offers a solid selection of year-rounds, seasonals and on-offs. They had about 5 or 6 year rounds and 5 on-offs and seasonals. I went there the morning after Extreme Beer Fest so I only had the Brett Grisette but it was great nevertheless.

Food and value: I had bacon & eggs witch was delicious. As far as the beer goes, the prices were very reasonable. This is definitely a good brewery to visit if you're ever in the Boston area and are looking to have a few local beers. The experience probably would of been better if I hadn't been hungover.
