Beautiful beer, with a two-finger flat white, firm head, with great retention. Brew is a clear golden amber color, with tons of carbonation up the center, and nearly transparent. Lacing is fairly thick and layered.
From the bottle, I got a hint of a skunky aroma, which is odd for a beer exactly one month old. Thankfully, that aroma isn't present out of the glass.
Floral and honey notes are strongest, with a dry, earthy hoppiness following. Slight dankness as well, and some biscuity malts.
Flavor is similar to what you might expect: biscuit and honey, malt-dominant, with some earthy and peppery hop notes. Lasting aftertaste. Not overly sweet, but overall more non-fruity sweetness and subtlety than you might expect in an IPA.
Pretty drinkable, a little sticky mouthfeel but otherwise fairly light. Lively without any sting. Glad they kept the ABV relatively low.
I like this! It's a different take on an IPA. The new hop really brings something different to the table in terms of flavor profile, while giving you a nice, classic floral aroma. That said, I think a bomber is probably too much of this specific flavor profile; I like it, but I don't love it.
