This looks quite interesting, love to try the new experimental hops, even if they never live on. Bottled 2/04/14, slightly more than a month old.
Pours a quickly rising frothy semi thick creamy rich 1+ finger head that fades back at a med to slower pace, and lots of soapy lacing, crystal clear golden tan colored beer.
NOse is interesting, plenty of hops in there but really unique hop aroma, some resinous notes, little peppery hop, little grassy slight earthy, fairly floral with just a touch of pine and fruity note, and very light grapefruit rind. Hint of a malt underneath but barely.
Taste starts with more hops, interesting unique hops again, fairly floral with a hint of pine, but earthy just a touch of forest floor earth and pine, with a mild resin note as well. The hops bring a little fruity note, can't really label the fruit though, actually... late on the back end it's like blueberry... that's interesting, a little blueberry and green stem, as well as those mild peppery notes, and perhaps a touch of pear. Malts bring a little sweetness and little syrupy like note with hint of sweet malty flavor, and just a touch of crystal malt. Late the hops turn a bit spicy and chewy, finishing quite bitter and spicy, little more pine and earthy notes, little sticky malt as well but drier.
Mouth is med bod, lots of fluffy carbonation perhaps just a bit too much as it begins to get a little disctracting.
Overall an interesting beer for sure, the hops are quite unique with the fruity notes, blueberry, pear, pepper, etc, with that mild resin and pine notes, little earthy too. Malts bring just enough to keep the hops from getting too crazy bitter as they seem to try, nicely balanced, good all around beer as expected from SN.

Pours into an impy nonic a muddled burnt orange color with a tightly formed sticky 1/2 finger shite head atop, good form to the head.Aromas are a bit lighter than expected with some floral and mild citric hops along with a dryer malt base.Flavors start out dry and almost nutty with the citrusy hops coming late and into the finish, the hops are not big but provide some citric life to the beer wich otherwise is pretty tame. Not bad but not for a hophead looking for something a little "more".

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Nonic pint.
Appearance: Clear, light orange with initial, frothy white head that disappears fairly quickly.
Smell: Floral and herbal notes, citrus and berry. Nice aroma at first, but almost completely vanishes after a couple minutes.
Taste: Very focused on the hops, with mostly herbal and spicy flavors. Some light grapefruit, lemon and berry. The malts are pretty light and soft. The finish is very bitter without much lingering flavor.
Feel: Medium, oily body with moderate carbonation. Very dry finish.
Overall: Very bitter IPA without enough flavor or aroma to back it up. It seems that Yakima is not a ideal candidate for a single hop beer.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a tall pint glass. Packaged 02/04/14.
Appearance: Pours a bright golden orange with a lot of rising bubbles. Big four finger white head with good retention. Leaves a lot of lacing.
Smell: A bright, earthy, and juicy hop forward aroma with good hints of pine and citrus. Big upfront mix of floral, earthy, and herbal hops with hints of grass and spicy pine resin. Fruity citrus hints of orange, grapefruit, lemon, mango, and pineapple. Also some good hints of berries. Crisp pale malt background with hints of biscuit, grains, cracker, and yeast. Light hints of pepper. A very good and dank hoppy IPA aroma.
Taste: Like the aroma suggests, an earthy, spicy, and juicy hop forward taste with good notes of grass, pine, citrus, and spice. Upfront earthy and floral hops with good notes of grass. Spicy and dank notes of pine resin. Citrus hop notes of orange, grapefruit, lemon, pineapple, and mango. Notes of berries and some spicy pepper. Pale malt with some bready notes of biscuit, cracker, grains, and yeast. A very good hoppy taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Spicy, oily, and pretty drying. Pretty smooth.
Overall: A very good take on a IPA. Good mix of earthy and juicy hops with a nice unique note of berries.

Clear golden honey colored with a thick beige head of dimpled foam that lingers long. Low aroma of floral hops and berries.
Flavors of hard-edged citrus upfront, some orange rind pith, with notes of honey, vanilla, fresh flowers and berries. The hops are a little rough, and I'm not sure the accompanying flavor notes complement well.
Even mouthfeel, moderately full, finishes tingly.
