24oz to a specialty ipa glass, bottled 2/04/14
Pours a vibrant golden orange with two fingers of eggshell white foam. Pretty high carbonation stemming from the bottom of the glass. Retention is pretty good, as is the lacing
Smell is of course upfront hops- strongest is blueberry followed by resiny pine, grapefruit, and other citrus. Backbone composed of spicy caramel and bready malts, finishes with a little bit of alcohol
Taste is more or less with the nose- strong blueberry, followed snappy pine resins and grapefruit along with a touch of lemon and other citrus. Malt also translates well, spicy caramel malts finish with a touch of alcohol
Feel is a light/medium body with a bit of a wet finish. Moderate bitterness, alcohol concealed well. Easy to drink
Overall a pretty interesting and unique ipa, lots of berry notes. Pretty good, standard SN ipa
