Appearance - Pours a hazy, muted orange with a finger's worth of white head. Good retention, leaving a thin layer of surface suds. Spots of lacing is left on the glass, with fair stick.
Smell - Wheat and solid hoppy citrus notes; orange with hints of grapefruit. Slight spice.
Taste - Hits on your typical wit flavors upfront: wheat and some corriander spice that evokes clove and orange character. Hops peak through about mid-taste and peak in the finish, leaving a fair amount of citrus pith bitterness in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium in body with fair to lively carbonation. Goes down smooth. Much more body than your typical wit.
Overall - Think typical Witbier with a light to moderate hoppy citrus bite, and you have Snow Wit. It's decent, but wits don't really do it for me. Something about that wheat/orange/spice combo that doesn't excite my taste buds. That said, if you love wits and you love hops, you'll love this. Great execution in marrying the styles.
