12oz to a specialty ipa glass
Can see where all the yeast is caked on at the bottom :/ Pours a very pale gold, almost yellow towards the bottom with two fingers of foam. Cloudy, no visibility. Strong carbonation stemming from the center of the glass, really good retention, okay lacing
Smells has that signature sierra nevada hop aroma- strong resinous pine along with a bouquet of citrus including grapefruit and tangerine. Malts are pretty pale in compairison, wheat along with a strong blast of Belgian funk from the yeast
Taste is sort of with the nose. Hops are the same, grapefruit, citrus, and pine. The rest is a bit different, still pale wheaty malts with a bit of funk, but also a lot of spice I didn't pick up on the aroma
Feel is a light/medium body, a little bit of a wet finish. Moderate bitterness, alcohol hidden. Pretty drinkable
Overall not a bad beer, but probably ties nooner for my least favorite in the 4 way ipa pack

This is about as high a rating you will ever see me give to a wheat beer. I hate them in general. This one is pretty good and I attribute the hops to this to give that rancid wheat beer taste some kick. It was light in color, but the hops were there and made for a well balanced brew. I got this in a mixed 12 pack. Apparently every store in my area is running amazing sales on Sierra Nevada right now, I guess awaiting the Beer Camp. Which, is an amazing idea, but so far I have not been overly impressed. I am giving it a true chance though. This one is good. And from me that's a bold statement. Not that I am an expert, but I generally hate wheat beers. So, take it as you will. Those who don't like wheat beers but IPA's give this a try, those who like wheat beers you may still get something out of this. Hell, it may get you out of your wheat beer challenged world into some big boy beers!
