Look: Pours black with 1-2 finger head
Smell: Has a pleasantly sweet smell. Can pickup some of the sweet malts as well as the ginger.
Taste: Like the smell, this has some sweeter notes, coming from the malts and ginger. It is a good diversion from the darker fruit notes that one can taste from a typical stout. I did not pickup any of the lime stated on the bottle
Feel: Not full bodied, the sweetness lingers for a little bit in the aftertaste.
Overall: I really liked this one. Offers some tastes that you don't get in a stout, so I think Sierra Nevada did a good job. I would drink again and get more if it was available in my area.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on July 24, 2014.

The pours a deep dark brown to nearly black with a modest off-white head that fades down quickly.

The aroma is incredibly spiced up with ginger, rosemary, and some other biting herbs penetrating my senses. A sugar sweetness too.

The body is in the medium range and perhaps a little better.

The taste is just as spiced up as the aroma with the same aromatic burning herbs such as a rosemary, ginger, German thyme, and sage playing up big. Moderate bitterness at the end.

Got this from a SC trade and unexpectedly liked it. The spice is very minor and plays great with the lime. It is a pretty well balanced spiced stout, give one a try if you get the opportunity.

Poured at Revolution Ale House, Charlotte NC.

Pours a deep dark brown with a frothy mocha head that fades, leaving rich sticky lacing. Fantastic nose, dark fruit and spices... they're there in the taste as well, though a bit more malt would've put the taste over the top. Very good brew, glad I tried it.

Welcome to NC, fellas... see ya at Beer Camp.

12 oz bottle packaged on 28 May 2014.
Opaque, full body. Odd aroma ... oh, has ginger and lime. While the aroma is not completely reassuiring, it's more wierd than uninviting, and the flavor definitely works. It has good balance, with enough ginger to affect the feel as well as the taste, but the citrus and dark roasted malts come thru too.

I'll keep it simple by saying that its a great beer.

A: Pours a dark coffee color with about a half finger head.

S: the smell is of the roasted malts and you can faintly tell the lime and ginger has been used.

T: tastes very good, roasted malt and burnt sugar tastes are there and the lime and ginger are very subtle but you can tell its there.

O: this is a good beer, the fact that it's the first release from SN's new brewery in Asheville makes it that much better, i definitely recommend one if you like stouts.
