12oz bottle packaged on 5/30/14 poured into a tulip.

Pours very dark brown with big light brown head, which fades at a medium pace. Thick and creamy head. Opaque beer. Smell is coffee and lots of coffee, some vague beeriness. And more coffee.

Taste is coffee. Slight anise, perfect sweetness balance for coffee bitterness. Dark fruit.

Mouthfeel is thick and airy. Overall, it's quite good.

12 oz. bottle poured into a Burley Oak snifter

A: Pitch black with a slight head that is a light mocha.

S: It is all coffee and roasted malt.

T: Excellent milk stout and one of the best of the pack. A ton of coffee and lactose sweetness. Roasty goodness through and through.

M: Slight roughness, goes down like black coffee.

O: This is a great beer to finish off the Beer Camp. SNBill's order was a great one and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I really want a 12 can mix pack.

Appearance: Looks like a good cup of coffee, with a big head of tan foam and plenty of lacing.

Smell: Dark malts. Chocolate, coffee with cream, and mocha.

Taste: Coffee with cream, mocha, chocolate.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied and creamy.

The Verdict: Excellent. Rich, creamy, and delicious, this is the star of Beer Camp. It’s so good I don’t want to finish it because then it will be gone and all I’ll have left is a memory.

Pours an opaque deep brown with a billowing, frothy cappuccino head that lingers.

Chocolate, lactose sweetness, and roasted coffee form the aroma. The espresso undertones are strong.

Flavor reveals coffee dominance, with a deeply roasted and roasted malt backbone, finishing fairly bitter and very dry. Hints of dark chocolate and dark fruit are evident initially, but that roasty coffee bitterness takes over and lingers in the aftertaste.

Body is moderate to a bit full, with fairly low carbonation and light alcohol warmth.

Great rendition of a coffee beer. It lacks the acrid character of hot pressing and cheap beans. I'm not a huge coffee fan, and wish the chocolate were more pronounced. A bit bitter for me. As it warms, more chocolate flavor comes out, but the bitter aftertaste isn't me fave.

Poured from the bottle into a nonic pint glass.

Big dark walnut black body, with a creamy texture out of the bottle. Head is a big capped four finger cocoa brown and tan colored bomb. THick pin head bubbles and lots of staying power.

Real nice sweet aroma. Milk whipped cream and coffee. Hints of shaved sprinkled chocolate on top. Wow. This is unreal, smells like fresh made espresso/macchiato and chocolate goodness. The cream angle comes out so perfectly with an addition of nice milk chocolate, ripping roasted bean too. An absolute winner on the bouquet

Classic light body with minimal sweetness, and just enough milky texture with out overly tacky. Brings the aromas into flavor but more subtly. Cream and whipped topping in the mid palate, a nice mild bitter chocolate and slight acid coffee finish as well. Well masked alcohol presence at seven plus percent abv. Some crackling grains and light texture to match, can just pound this brew like nothing.

Overall, a milk stout that is just done to near perfection the way I like it, one of the styles I am normally not a big fan of and very picky of. Fantastic brew!
