12oz bottle into SN hop glass. Packaged 6/3/14.

A: Pours a clear golden color with a large, fluffy, white head that slowly faded into a thin and bubbly collar and film. A few spots of patchy lace was left down the glass.
S: The coriander is easy to pick out and comes through alongside notes of peppery yeast, citrusy and floral hops, faint mint and bubblegum.
T: I get flavors of coriander, bubblegum, grapefruit citrus, bready malt, spicy yeast, slight melon, and herbal hops. The finish is crackery with pale malts, and the aftertaste is slightly bitter and has lingering notes of citrus rind and juicy fruit.
M: Soft and fluffy carbonation, medium body, smooth with a good chew to it. Drinks well. Smooth and chewy.
O: A solid Beligian ipa. Clean and easy flavors, easy to drink, and very smooth.

Pours into my chalice with a deep golden apricot hazy body unfiltered with some kicking coriander additions. Bright white head forms fine bubbles perfect level of carbonation for a Belgian style pale ale. Even lacing fine and intricate, looks great.

Aroma lemon zest up front, they say they used a variety of hops that would give it off? Sorachi Ace possibly? The floral/spicy/perfume like coriander notes with the Belgian yeast strain utilized at Allagash make up the rest of the aromatics.

Flavor intense rush of bitterness and excess flavors mainly due to the huge coriander rush spicy/perfume notes pretty brash at first sip citrus pine bitterness arises amongst the pale malts deep fruit lingering as well. A lot going on without much cohesion here, however as your palate adjusts to the chaos it actually grows on you. Spicy yeast, citric hops, earthy floral coriander and a nice base pale ale.

Mouthfeel is effervescent with sturdy nearly spritzy carbonation levels, medium bodied lingering bitterness from the coriander/yeast spiciness.

Overall I’m a bit perplexed by this beer, one of the weakest out of the twelve pack and I’ve had many better Belgian style ales from both breweries. I don’t get it.

Beer Camp #2 poured into a New Belgium globe glass. The Myron's pours a medium golden in color and with a touch of haze. Finger of bone colored foam settles out to a light film and drops off strings of lace from there.

Aroma of light hops and some Belgian yeast character, which shows itself not so much in strong esters but in an earthy pungent and bready malt character. Aroma gets more complex with warming with deep muddled aromas. Taste is spritzy with carbonation and flavors of bread, lemon and spice. Coriander notes increase with warming and blend well with hop/yeast notes. Finish is full if a bit uneventful as a flash of citrus exists but nothing lingers on the close. Overall pretty good and quite different than Yvan the Great, which I prefer to this one.

12 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy gold with a huge white meringue head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is musty fruit, some spice. bubblegum and a little piney hop.

The flavor is sweet doughy malts , coriander and a little fruit with some piney hops in the finish. The mouthfeel is full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a solid Belgian pale. I like the hop / yeast combo.

Aroma: Huge spice, almost overwhelming coriander, lemongrass, orange peel, with some earthy notes. It smells like someone sucking on coriander cough drops. The is some fresh citrus hop aroma in the back. Belgian yeast esters are hidden in the spice. I don't get much in the way of malt. No DMS, NO diacectyl.

Appearance: Golden colored with a medium rocky head that lingers well.

Flavor: Belgian yeast esters with too much spice. The lemony like flavor isn't my favorite, a bit too dirty. There is a very light malt breadiness, again overwhelmed by spice. No DMS, No diacetyl. Bitterness is medium-light.

Mouthfeel: Very bright carbonation with a medium light body. Bitterness lingers into the finish which clashes a bit with the bright carbonation.

Overall: Over spiced Belgian pale. Not well balanced. I was hoping for more in light of everything else in this box.

Pours out a clear brass with thin head. Smells of spicy Belgian yeast, lightly toasty and bready malts, and resinous hops. Flavor is crisp, light, refreshing: reminding me of a great example of a Belgian blonde beer. Yeast is subdued in its spiciness. The coriander doesn't stand up well against the strength of the hops. Definite PNW hops profile. Finishes clean. Mouthfeel is moderate and easygoing. The carbonation is refreshing. Very solid beer.

12oz. bottle served in a shaker pint. Pours a dull orange hue with a slight haze to the clarity and a tight, quarter inch, bright white head. Nose expresses citrus, light floral aromas and a hint of yeast. Taste consistent with nose; however, there's a bit of spiciness, some citrus zest and a light, earthy/herbal bitterness at the finish. Mouthfeel is light in body with a lively carbonation that leaves a residual bite. Overall, a very drinkable and flavorful Belgian Pale Ale. Almost comes off as a BPA/BIPA hybrid. Sad that this is only a one-off.
