From the Beer Camp 12 pack.

Appearance 3.75: Poured out a clear, yellow gold. OK head (barely 1/4") and OK lacing. Looks lager-esque.

Smell 4.0: Really like the bouquet on this brew. Spicy Belgian yeast dominates as does notes of light grains and ripe pear. Also, notes of a very nice grassy hop.

Taste 4.25: Front is dry, but this transitions into a middle that features a big wave of light maltiness which is balanced by the Belgian yeast taste. Also at this level is a light bitterness from the hops. This fades into a finish that is slightly sweet and has a taste that is all yellow fruit: sultanas, apricots, etc. This is balanced by a hop blend that is all bitterness and very little other hop characteristics, but it works. Aftertaste is where it all fades away gloriously to leave the taster feeling that lovely Belgian yeast peppering the palate. Aftertaste is short and semi-dry. Really fantastic and well within the style of a Belgian Golden.

Mouthfeel 4.0: absolutely outstanding conditioning really enhances the beer.

Overall 4.0: Excellent Belgian Ale. Light, refreshing and with many different delicious flavor levels, this baby is just a pleasure to drink. No hint of alcohol, but is pretty big (7%+) and is well worth the purchase of the 12 pack to try it out. Heartily recommended.

Pours into a small tulip glass a clear lemony yellow with a fluffy one finger white head that leaves no lacing as it settles.Citrus fruits and phenols in the nose, although not a fan of over phenolic beers this goes well with the big citric notes.A big hit of the yeasty phenols upfront but a big splash of lemon oils in the finish,it really hits the back of the tongue. Not bad and good for the warm weather, not a huge fan of the style but this one I kinda like.

Poured from a bottle into my tulip, this beer was a gold color with a small white head.

Aroma of banana, sweet fruit, and herbal spiciness. The herbal aroma was most apparent.

Banana taste, some kind of fruit, herbal. Some hard candy type of taste.

A dry mouthfeel, but there was a bit of an aftertaste that wasnt entirely pleasant.

Overall, though, a pretty good beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear straw yellow with a medium creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is banana bubblegum and spices with some earthiness.

The flavor is sweet bready malts, banana, bubblegum and some spice (pepper, coriander). The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with creamy texture.

Overall, I didn't really care for this one.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Tulip.

Appearance: Hazy golden-blonde with good sized white head.

Smell: Banana, fleshy fruit, citrus, spiciness.

Taste: Strong backbone of bread and fleshy, almost tropical, fruit. The banana notes from the yeast are strong, with some clove as well. The finish has a very sharp spicy and citrus kick that lingers for a long time, along with more banana. This creates a long aftertaste that switches from bitter and dry to sweet and cloying. I could still taste it an hour after drinking.

Feel: Moderately high carbonation with a fairly full, almost chewy, body. The seemingly dry finish is ruined by the lingering aftertaste. This beer is a perfect example of how American brewers can really screw up the mouthfeel of Belgian styles.

Overall: There are some good strong flavors here, but they are overrun by a poor mouthfeel and sweet aftertaste. Too bad.
