Notes/Commercial Description:
Our friends at Oskar Blues pioneered great beer in a can and, as mutual members of the canned craft club, this partnership was a perfect fit. CANfusion is a coming together—a fusion, if you will—of flavors from across the spectrum of brewing: spicy rye, tangy wheat and a bright citrusy hop aroma.

Oskar Blues is the granddaddy of canned craft beer. Like us, they have a fun-loving passion for the outdoors and bikes. It was a natural fit for them to adopt cans as a portable, durable way to tote their favorite beer on the trail, and in the process they paved the way for all other craft brewers to follow.

12oz can poured into SN hop glass.

A: Pours a burnt amber with a huge, dense, light tan head that slowly faded into a thick and oily looking film. Soapy patches of lace were left down the glass.
S: Rye hits first and is prominent and spicy. I get scents of toasted malt, burnt sugar, caramel and faint citrus.
T: Much fruitier than the nose the suggested. I get the spicy flavors of rye up front, followed by sweet fruity hops, bread crust malt, and grainy wheat. The finish is sweet with fruit nectar, and the aftertaste is bitter with slight notes of citrus, and peppery with the flavorful rye.
M: Medium body, slick, heavy and greasy mouthfeel. The carbonation is fluffy but tingly.
O: The rye and dry hopping provide an interesting take on the style. I enjoyed this one a lot.

Poured into a becker a deep copper color with a sticky full one finger head atop that slowly settled into a frothy mass.some spicy rye and light caramel notes in the nose, faint leafy hops.A nice flavor profile with the spiciness from the rye mixed with almost a whiskey-like note, not overly sweet and a decent amount of leafy hop drying in the finish. This is a solid bock and the rye plays a real role, nice job here.

This beer was poured into a pint glass. It was a dark amber color with a minimal head.

Aroma of spicy rye. Some citrus.

Spicy rye taste. A little grapefruit. Caramel and bread.

Sweet and malty.

Not bad, not great. In the meh category. I wouldn't want to drink this again.

12 oz can. Pours clear light copper amber with a huge creamy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is subdued - bready rye with a little fruit.

The flavor is rye and sweet nutty malts and a little sweet caramel and fruit. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a solid rye beer, but not much of a bock.

This is honestly a solid beer, everything about it is fruity. The hops and the malt are great together and reminds me of a cigar city IPA. Not sure why this isn't rated higher

12oz can fresh pour. thick amber with some orange and red hints. head is not gone in 30 seconds. smells of pecan, spice, candied sugar, rye, and grain. Taste is quite sweet, plum wine flavor, with hints of spice and hops. This beer has floral hop tones, and a fairly boozy bock style. fruit character here with the hop profile. The rye is barely on the nose and palate, and rounds out the booze and light body. Mouthfeel is light, with a touch of spice and hops, on the back of the mouth. Pair with pretzels, smoked trout, smoked sausages, and horseradish.
