I had this poured from the bottle into a pint glass, my twelfth review of an SN beer. The color was lighter than many IPAs, more gold than copper, a bit disappointing. The taste was standard IPA some hops, but of citrus, bit of pine. It wasn't weak, wasn't strong, and wasn't that interesting. I really like IPAs, so this isn't necessarily meant as an insult, but it's totally an average IPA.

Let's knock out another beer review from 2014 shall we? Recollection was these were only available in the snowpack (winter) variety 12 packs.
Golden pour, 1/2" white head, great clarity, another amazing appearance for a Sierra Nevada product, consistent as ever, but also noticeably lighter than most of their copper colored hoppy beers. Aroma had a hint of lime to it. Ella hops, maybe Moteuka, Azacca etc. . .. Not Mosaic or Nelson here, but other Southern Hemisphere hops.
Taste was good, still had that green lime, grapefruit rind, unsweetened passion fruit mild notes to it. Good dry, light, cracker like pale toasted barley/malt additions. Hides alcohol good for something so light, surprised they put it in a winter variety pack. Carbonation as always super reliable and appropriate. Average bitterness notes.
I wonder why they never put this in its own 6 pack? Was good enough for me. Totally serviceable and reliable.

Nice crisp IPA ... hoppy and summer fresh.

On tap at Old Chicago-Boise (downtown). Pale golden, with thin wispy head. Mild resinous hop aroma, crisp and dry taste. Session able, very similar to an APA

Semi-clear bright golden with well-retaining off-white fluffy, foamy, chunky head. Not very strong aroma at first, but increases significantly as head dissipates. Spice and resin, vegtables, touch of citrus. Taste is not quite as expected. Good balance here. Base is crackery, very substantial. More than subdues any potentially overwhelming hop qualities. But there's still plenty here, floral but not perfumey, right between grass and herbs, and vegtable stew, a little spicy, but only a little peppercorn. Long bitter aftertaste, but tolerable. Medium-bodied, lightly sudsy, slick, sloshy, refreshing.
