12oz. bottle poured into a Sierra Nevada pint glass. It pours a light copper color with two heaping fingers of head. There is lots of sticky lacing left on the glass. The smell has a good dose of floral hops for a regular IPA. Nice and citrusy. The taste hits hard with the hops, but more of the bitterness than the flavor. There's a lightly toasted malt background, with maybe some biscuit malt. The harsh bitterness I perceived at first seems to mellow out on the finish to show off some nice hop flavor. The mouthfeel is pretty thick, and really coats the tongue. The drinkability is great, as I would have never guessed this to be nearly 7% abv. A solid IPA.
