Well I've been drinking this one for a while but haven't reviewed it yet. The beer from a bottle is better. Perhaps it doesn't make sense; I've taken some time and I have come to the conclusion that the can is not as good. It is a staple in my beer refrigerator. Always a great price.
Poured from a 12 oz. bottle with a date code (my beer is four moths old) into a pint glass and I get one finger of head.
A: Pours a golden amber color with one finger of head that dissipates quickly to almost nothing but a ring around the glass on top. Little to no lacing.
S: Biscuit smell upfront that is sweet and malty and is followed by floral citrusy smell. There is really nothing that smells like pine or a resin pine smell. Very pleasing and balanced between the malt and the hop.
T: Caramel malt and hop bitterness that are not complex but completely balanced. It finishes slightly bitter.
M: This beer goes down good. It is slightly lighter than medium bodied with medium carbonation. It leaves my mouth slightly dry.
O: This is an outstanding beer. It's always available and I always have it in my refrigerator. It is very drinkable: smooth, balanced, and refreshing.

Drank from a can on a muggy summer evening.
Slightly hoppy and Easy drinking IPA. Smell the hops. First taste is slight hops and bitterness. Finishes to sweet and dry. Probably first IPA I ever had 20 years ago and still is a great intro to bolder flavor beers.

Keep in mind that I am more of a stout/porter/dark brew fan than I am of ales and lagers.
Still thought this was great. The appearance was beautiful - poured a deep golden amber but did not have a very thick head, thin and white with no lacing at all. Would have rated Appearance at least 4 if it had more persistent head/more lacing. We'll see if the next bottle is any different. Smelled kind of. piney in a way. Smells hoppy. Spice-y. Smells good. The taste is one of my favorites for a pale ale. Absolutely perfect blend of hops and malt. Got a hoppy flavor which transitions into a bready spiced barley kind of flavor. Finishes a bit dry. Light-medium bodied, closer to the light side. Slightly above average carbonation. Overall I'd say a 3.75. High drinkability, might purchase again if I'm ever in an ale mood.
