12oz bottle served in a weizen glass
In the glass this beer is bright yellow, fairly clear with a huge pillowy head that looks like it will stick around forever. The only complaint is that it is a bit too clear, maybe slightly influenced by a bad pour, my fault so I wont take points away. The smell is light grain, with a touch of wheat and some herbal, and lemon hops. The taste is pretty full malt and grain with an overlying hop presence that isn't unpleasant but maybe a bit too much, I would have preferred for it to be just a bit sweeter as the hops come off too spicy for my taste. Pretty smooth and full enough in the mouth, finish is slightly dry and just a little bitter. Drinkability is very good a great summer session beer that's not overly challenging but flavorful enough that you can easily put a few of these away in short order on a hot summer day. Overall it's pretty satisfying.

Comes in sturdy like it isn't just yellow, there is some auburn running up in this. Decent clarity for a wheat beer. Smooth up in ya like the Bullet Boys. 1/2" white head. Aroma dropped a seriously fruity yeast like a steam lager in here with ample wheat.
Mild earthy hop quotient, mild nuttiness with the wheat presence, like that bread with all the sunflower seeds and shit in it. One of the more underrated summertime beers back in the day.

This was my absolute favorite beer from Sierra Nevada. I still have a couple stored away, never to be had again, but to create a memory to hold onto.
What has always been my favorite wheat beer, this was far superior to their current filtered wheat (Old Chico Crystal Wheat).
I'm longing for the day that Ken and Brian decide to bring this one out of retirement, even if just for the Chico community. One can dream, right?
