I bought a sixer of this at Publix and drank it with some friends. A good atmosphere makes any beer better.
Appearance-This beer looks wonderful. Very dark, like motor oil. A little red around the edges in the light. The head had a nice mocha color to it. It left a resilient, creamy head that stuck around for the whole ride.
Smell-The aroma was great. Very malty, you can smell the fruitiness of the yeast.
Taste- Brilliant. I am always so impressed with Sierra Nevada Products. It was sweet and tangy on the front of the palate, with lots of citrus and malt flavors, and off the back it was hoppy, and had that great roasted flavor that any good stout sports plenty of.
Mouthfeel- Very smooth, a little bite from the carbonation, but not to much by any means. This is not a super thick stout, but its thicker than say, an Irish stout. Generally speaking of course.
Drinkability- I could easily put away a few of these. Its not to heavy, and the flavors are all nicely balanced.
I'd recommend this stout to anyone.
