Poured a stubby bottle into a Man Utd pint glass. Nice straw golden appearance with a thick foamy 3 finger that slowly falls to to a sticky thin lace. I get a really nice toasted bready, grain, light maltiness with some spice from the hops. Really surprisingly great nose, not too many brews do I get a healthy nose from, this one just resonates with me for the style of beer. Really nice nose. Maybe I am exaggerating, but maybe I got a really fresh brew, and 2012 brew has a nice nose....not sure.
This has the most refreshing pilsner taste of balanced hops and great pale, sweet toasted malts. Great balance, not an unbalanced hop/citrus/lemon/wheat taste that is too oftenly labelled 'summer' brew. Fantastic for any time of the year, ESPECIALLY summer time due to the outstandingly refreshing crisp balanced taste. Sooo much better than some lemonade summertime brews, yet so much more satisfying!!!

Appearance: Crystal clear, pale gold, 1/2" head fades to thin white cap. Active carbonation with mid-size bubbles. Not much to speak of in terms of lacing.
Aroma: Spicy noble hop aroma; sweet, clean malt. Smells generally beery.
Taste: Dry arrival, saccharine feeling across mid-palate; not sweet but sweet-ish. Grassy hops then tight bitterness at the end. Dry, clean finish.
Mouthfeel: Solidly, but not overwhelmingly, carbonated. Pretty standard. Clean. Mid-to-light weight.
Overall: Not as flavorful as Mama's Little Yella Pils, but certainly better than Heineken. Above-average pilsner, though I think it should be rated as an American pilsner, not Czech. Honestly, for the need this fulfills, a part of me would rather just by a less expensive AAL.
