I love SN. Had this in my fridge for ages though before I actually tried it.

Poured a golden yellow with a small white head. Fast dissipation, but nice lacing all over the glass.

S - mild hops and citrus

T - more bitter than I expected, but well-balanced with the mild malts, biscuity, light citrus flavour

MF - fairly crisp
D - good. Could definitely be a session beer.

Not the most amazing beer ever, but definitely a decent light summer beer from SN.

look: 4.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

Appearance: Excellent clarity, dim golden color, effervescent with apparently high carbonation. Thick, frothy white head with aggressive pour.

Smell: Feint floral or citrus smell

Taste/Mouthfeel: Very refreshing, light pilsner bursting with carbonation. Slight sweetness from malt, rather hoppy and overbitter for the style. Feint metallic aftertaste. Despite its lightness, it has the mouthfeel of a beer--with real bite.

From appearances and smell, could be great. The taste is very good and close to the standard for a good pilsner, but is ever so slightly imbalanced, overly bitter and lacks the mellow hoppiness of the very best pilsners. This is a good fallback option but a step below the leaders in this style.

look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 5

Appearance: golden, not yellow, impressive, sturdy head with beautiful lacing
Smell: quite subtle I thought, could have used a little more oomph of malt or hop
Taste: aaahhhh, big burst of malt with floral hops balancing. The important point here is wonderful malt AFTERTASTE, which really makes you want to drink more
Mouthfeel: fuller than your average pilsner, SN has successfully added a more substantial feeling to this beer
Drinkability: Exceptional, this will probably become my fridge pilsner
Comment: I am going to email SN to beg them to make this a year around brew

Pours a clear golden with low carbonation, good head but dissipates very quickly. Lite lacing slightly fizzy.

Typical european hop aroma and aftertaste. Lightly sweet and tart, yet has a flat taste to it. Finishes harsh and bitter/dry. Crisp going down. Long linger in the mouth and light hints of malt.

This is your typical true pilsner

Poured a hazy golden with a nice head that did not last for very long. There was good carbonation visible.

It smells of citrus. Orange, maybe lime.

Taste is citrusy (like the smell would suggest) and finishes like a mild IPA. I was surprised by this beer. I am not normally a fan of Sierra Nevada.

Poured from bottle to a pilsner glass, a clear yellow with a white bubbly head and moderate lacing. Smelled like corn, lawn clippings and lemons. Tasted bland with a trace of lemons. Not much flavor in this one at all. Goes down easy with light body and crisp nothingness. I could drink a bunch of these but there are lots of better choices out there.

Clear golden color with minimal head and large amounts of carbonation. There was a very hoppy aroma which carried through into the flavor. There was a very slight malty aftertaste that increases as it warms, but not enough for me as the hops overpowers it. It was very smooth, but full of flavor without detectable grain or other add-ons that can take away from the flavor. An excellent lager.

I tried this sample courtesy of one of my BA buddies at work who was kind enough to slip me a couple out of his sixer.

Nice job by Sierra Nevada. The beer looked just outstanding on the pour. Clear straw/yellow coloring, nice carbonation, thick and rich looking head. Not an exceptional nose, but it did relay the message that there was a hoppy beer here waiting to be quaffed.

The taste was slightly bitter at first, as the hops immediately took control of the palate. Vague fruitiness in the middle, followed by a laid-back malt presence. Very refreshing on the old back porch as I watched the kids play on the playscape and the pool.

The beer finished with a tart crispness. Very drinkable, I could easily have kicked both bottles back.

Not a bad take in the pilsner style. Nothing to get overly excited about, but a solid effort overall. A fine lawnmower beer.

Appearance - yellowish in color, little head. in fact, when it was brought to my table, the head was gone.

Smell - typical pilsner. little smell to it.

Taste - bittersweet aftertaste, not much to it.

Mouthfeel - easy to drink, little to no carbonation.

Drinkability - very easy to drink.

Not much to this beer. Typical pilsner with not overwhelming qualities.

This beer poured a frothy white head in to my pint glass, dissapearing quickly, but leaving some nice lacing and a very thin layer of foam. The color was a crystal clear gold, pretty much the same hue as a Miller High Life. The aroma wasn't too complex. Mainly picked up the maltiness, with some spicy notes from the hops. Not overly complex in the taste catagory, but very solid. Just as the aroma suggests, there is a nice malt back bone with the perfect amount of bitterness. It is crisp and smooth with a nice sharp finish with an after taste that hangs around for the perfect amount of time.

It would be my perfect lawnmower beer if I only had a lawn.
