This one poured a luverly deep amber color with an impressive 2 inch head of pocked and clotted foam. Almost no carbonation is visable through the clear liquid - an occasional lazy bubble.
Nice nose but the aroma is less of a cascade barrage than I expected and the caramel malt notes blend with the oranges and wildflower scent from the hops as equals.
The flavor is surprisingly weak - almost watery even warmed up to 60+ deg/F. I had this on tap and really enjoyed it - more body and flavor than this bottle with firmer bittering. This glass is an ok beer but just a short step up from a Pale.
This tasted more like an ESB than an IPA to me. A nice ESB at that but not quite malty enough - lacks character and body. Not a bad beer but not a great IPA IMHO. Celebration blows the doors off this.
