A - A very appealing dark golden color, very clear, with a medium one finger head. Solid lacing on the glass.
S - Surprisingly, the smell wasn't anything special. Hoppy, of course, but otherwise unremarkable.
T - A solid, cold hop taste across the tongue. Not overly bitter, but very 'refreshing.' A bit unbalanced against the malt profile but a really nice brew for the fall season.
M - Typical IPA, on the bitter side but not unpleasent. Reasonably carbonated, hits the whole mouth, and leaves a bit of a metallic aftertaste.
D - You wont mistake this for a light beer, but it's certainly drinkable. I would pair with crackers & a sharp cheddar for snacking nirvana.
Overall, a nice effort and something a bit stronger for us hopeheads than Sierra Nevada's own Pale Ale. Very good, if not remarkable.
