Pours with a huge spumescent craggy khaki headed pour over a golden auburn clear hued body. Delicate lattice lace left in the glass. Solid headcap left in the glass is impressive.
Aroma of light balsa wood and pine juicy sweetness with a malty balance is evident in the nose. Some light fruity aspects of citrus orange and bublegum.
First swigs: Initial soft lemony citrus and orange pel hops meet a solid malty firm backing that falls onto the hoppy side. Assiduous cascade hops seem prevalent with some varied hop action to keep this one guessing. Pine sap woody aspects and orange peel keep the middle moving. Dusty dry biter bright Spree candy finish.
Feel is soft cushy light to medium body with a crisp carbonation. Lingering bitter tart finish.
Last swigs: Souped up big brother to the classic SNPA. Quite interesting flavor that certainly does a refreshing job of opening up the Am IPA style. SNPA is one of my 1st beer loves. (Awww!)
Beer is good. Happy Am IPA Anniversary to you Sierra Nevada.
