It pours a light orange amber and leaves an offwhite head that leaves sticky lace on the glass. Grapefruit dominates the smell with fresh pineapple supporting, and a wisp of pine and sweet malt in the background...not as overt as I would have thought however. Hops again dominate the palate, a bitter assault greets the tongue but warms to grapefruit and a bigger pine taste than was evident in the nose. The malt is a bit lacking which detracts slightly from the palate coating effect one often gets from IPAs, but I assume this is on purpose to better showcase the Cascade hops.
Hoppier than SNPA and less malty than Celebration, it's a solid IPA but exists in a crowded field even within its own brewery.
