22 oz Squat Bomber, sampled half in a shaker and half direct from the bottle.
A - Deep red to light brown, clear, with a small but lasting deep tan head. Carbonation appears low. Leaves lots of lacing. Very appetizing.
S - Good, but somewhat less than expected for a fresh hop ale. Pine with very light tropical fruit salad notes. Seems to be enhanced when in the bottle vs. in a shaker. Aroma quickly dies down after pouring.
T - Immediate brown sugar sweetness with slight biting carbonation. Mid is a big burst of hop bitterness, followed by a transient intense hop flavor and associated sweetness. Very bright, lively tropical fruits that give a slightly acidic impression. Caramel hits just a tad before a lingering bitterness that is just right; finish is extremely dry.
M - Heavy body for the style that is brightened by a crisp carbonation. A good mix.
O - Excellent IPA, killer deal at this low price point. I would drink this directly from the bottle - seems the resins are transient when poured. Pick one up today and enjoy!
