Pours a clear rusty copper color with a rocky tan head with a small amount of lacing. The color is mesmerizing. Spicy, earthy hops provide the bulk of the aroma with toasted biscuit and a little bit of grapefruit and lemon. Flavor is smooth and malt dominated, starting with cream and fluffy wonder bread, followed by toasted, then burnt biscuit, then come the bitter, barky hops with a good amount of linger in them. Feel is middling, very appropriate for the style, and finish is balanced.

This is one flavorful IPA without overkill on hops. I never thought I'd like having a malty IPA until I tried this. It's slightly spicy and earthy, which is what makes this brew unique. I'll be seeking this out in the spring every year.

Appearance is a bright, transparent rust orange and pours a fluffy off-white+pink head.

Smells of citrus, floral, and slightly spicy.

Tastes slightly of pineapple, caramel, and spicy hops.

Mouthfeel is a well balance between malt and hop, slightly spicy up front with a bitter, then sweet finish.

Overall, a good IPA but nothing spectacular.

Appearance: Clear copper. Big, cream head.
Smell: Floral, citrus, alcohol, and perhaps pineapple.
Taste: Floral and citrus.

This is great. It certainly does have a fresh taste...I think. There is a good bit of alcohol
in both the smell and taste; much more than what the ABV hints. Also, I think I'm getting some malt as well as citrus rinds from the taste. Total package, this is a great brew. I would definitely get it again. For whatever reason, I'm having trouble describing it.
