Poured from a bottle into a nonic pint.

A - Cloudy (most likely chill haze) copper hue with a three-finger meringue-like head of off-white foam. Tiny bubbled lacing coats every inch of the glass when sipped.

S - Good strong aroma of fresh cut grass, caramel malt, with a hint of spice.

T - Oh my goodness, this is one phenominal tasting beer. Descriptions such as big, lush, juicy, and rich all fit here. Malts are big and bready, with an almost toasted sourdough like quality. Hops are earthy and spicy with a hint of onion, but also with some fruit zest (hints of white grape and grapefruit). A touch of lemon pepper spice in the finish. So well balanced, it's hard to tell where the malts begin and the hops end. Balance carries right through the finish.

M - Big and chewy, with lively carbonation. Slightly creamy, moreso as it warms. Finishes dry. Nice.

O - A masterpiece by Sierra Nevada. I prefer this to the Northern Harvest, which is itself a tremendous beer. This one was very close to being my first "all 5's" beer. If you haven't tried it, I can't recommend it enough.

A - Clear amber body with three fingers of light tan head. Incredible amount of retention and lots of nice lacing to go with it.

S - Lots of yeasty dough, citrus hops, cherry and sweet caramel.

T - Tangy fruitiness upfront with slight Belgian style yeast profile. Floral and citrus hops wash in and leave the aftertaste dry and bitter. Malts are strong upfront but recede quickly.

M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Somewhat sticky but leaves a clean mouthfeel behind.

O - Great brew. Lot's of interesting flavors and really well balanced. Just not sure it's worth the $7.99. But I could see picking this up again.

Appearance is a bright, transparent rust orange and pours a fluffy off-white+pink head.

Smells of citrus, floral, and slightly spicy.

Tastes slightly of pineapple, caramel, and spicy hops.

Mouthfeel is a well balance between malt and hop, slightly spicy up front with a bitter, then sweet finish.

Overall, a good IPA but nothing spectacular.
