This is for the 2010 release, poured from a 22 oz. bomber.
A - Nice coppery amber appearance with a 2-finger white head. A slight hazy quality to the beer, it glows nicely. Head retains moderately well, leaves some lacing.
S - Citrus hops with some pine and semi-sweet malt, a nice odor but not as fragrant as I expected.
T - Hops dominate with a spicy pine presence, but are not so strong as to overwhelm the palate. Finishes with a burst of slightly toasty and sweet malt which quickly fades, though the earthy, slightly spicy hop notes linger on the palate for a long while.
M - Medium body with good carbonation, feels like little hop bubbles are popping in my mouth. Substantial yet lively.
D - Pretty well-balanced, exactly what I'd expect from the makers of one of the favorite pale ales in the country. Interesting flavor and a smooth drink.
