Pours a dull amber, with brown and tan tones. Head is just a bit off-white, frothy and static, and has a thick milkiness to it. Lace is exceptional.
Grapefruit - flesh, juice, rind and all - is the main aroma I get, with a touch of pine and herbal character. No malts really in the nose, but I really like this as it is.
Taste is a blend of that grapefruit along with a much more pronounced pine punch. It's complemented by a grainy malt and bit of resin. Citrus comes at the start, but then also kicks a little at the middle/end. Quite balanced and tasty, even if a bit more malt flavors could help.
Mouthfeel is crisp and clean almost to a fault, with no malt feel contribution at all, but the hops are the point of the beer and they do the job well. Very easy drinking beer too - hops never get out of hand, give a nice dry finish, and the malt does a good job of staying invisible while keeping everything under control.
