They should rename this beer "steady heady," as its sturdiness keeps it consistent for a long time. The copper-orange beer beneath is a beautiful sight. A slight haze is dotted with carbonation. To me, that's a perfect looking beer.
Notably cliched for this one, but fresh, and surprisingly more muted than I'd have assumed. Just a whiff of citrus - can't really make out much else.
Holy Hoppenfeffer! Big in the mouth, but oddly almost like a subdued summer barleywine. A gripping bitterness of dry grapefruit and pineapple, just a bit of spiciness like cinnamon or nutmeg. Didn't really open up at all until it came to room temp - revealed some crackery malt at that point.
It almost seems like hops for the sake of hops though. They're there and big, but they don't necessarily add the varied characteristics I'd expect in a SN beer.
Since I started this pour, I waited for the flavors to pop - and waited, until they finally did at the end of the first long pint. Still, not enough for me to enjoy it fully - consistently, but just underwhelming for SN.

Bomber poured into imperial pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy bright, golden-amber with a large, bubbly white head that eventually fades down a respectable, creamy cap. Tons of lacing left behind foreshadows the hoppiness of this ale.
S: This isn't insanely fresh on my end, with this particular bottle being about a month old, but the nose is still quite nice, albeit a little reserved in nature, I think. Some grapefruit up front and pine resin underneath. Malts aren't really prominent here.
T: Malt is more prominent on the palate than it was in the nose. An initial hint of bready sweetness is short-lived before it's pushed out of the way by a wave of grapefruit, closely followed by strong Earthy notes of pine resin, grass, and a strong spice that I can't quite decipher... just know that there's some spice going on here. Finish is fairly bitter, bordering pungent, but delightful.
M: Mouthfeel is absolutely delightful. A medium to medium-full body with an exuberant, yet controlled, carbonation. Velvety, but slightly sticky in the finish. Hop oils coat the tongue.
O: Even without being super-fresh, this beer was highly enjoyable and offered a wonderful, although contained, bouquet of hop flavors. Some caramel and pale malts offer just a hint of bready sweetness that keep this balanced and palatable. The mouthfeel was superb and kept this extremely drinkable. Cheers to Sierra Nevada for another great offering.
