Pours a cloudy, hazy golden color. Firm foamy head dissipates to a thin white layer. A little lacing, but not much.

Smells of sweet bananas and cloves. Hints of sweetness in the background.

A wonderful banana and clove taste. A little citrus in the end. Some banana that lingers. Reminds me of a traditional German Hefe.

Mouthfeel is creamy up front. Full body, with carbonation that lingers in the end. A smooth delightful beer.

I love German Hefe's, and I wish I could get this beer year round!

Pours a finger of head on a cloudy brown colored body.
The aroma is caramel and apple cider. Interesting but good.
The taste is a mild bitter start with a late malt sweetness. Great balance.
The texture is smooth with moderate carbonation.
Quite enjoyable.

On tap at Congregation Ale House in Pasadena, CA.

Pours a murky dark orange-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, brown sugar, caramel, toffee, banana, and spice aromas. Taste is much the same with earth, caramel, banana, and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a great smell, but the flavors are more earthy than I was expecting.

Very hazy beer with great head retention. The beers almost looks like real New England apple cider that is a little foamy. Similar in color and cloudiness. I got a yeasty aroma of clove, and just strait up yeast. For the flavor I was picking up on some wheat and other malt flavors with a slightly sweet finish. Not sure if the looks of the beer caused my to think this, but to me the beer almost tasted like graff. A malty mixture with some slight apple notes and a similar mouth feel minus the acidity. Very interesting beer I would love to know how they brewed it.
