Big 24oz bottle picked up last week at the COOP.... Paid about $10... but probably a bit less. Poured into my Derlium snifter... sharing this one with Brenda.
2 finger white head leaves nice lace and a great cap... the brew is a surprisingly reddish color .... very clear.
The nose is fairly resinous... though in an odd way... reminds me of a wet hop beer (is it?)... A little bit of lite caramel to add a bit of maltiness... but there is still a fair amount of pale malts to push the hops forward.
Flavor is a bit bitter out of the gate... bready pale malts combine with some lite caramel and a touch of toasted malt... then melts into some "green" sorta pithy grapefruity hoppiness... fairly dry on the finish.
Overall.. this is okay... even pretty good... but that said, it is way to damn expensive for what it is. I appreciate the idea of an "estate" ale, but Jesus, the estate is too pricey.

A great looking beer, has that SNPA appearance of amber and copper, good 3/4" white head. Aroma is the usual C hops, not sure if any were used as finishing/aroma/dry hops, but it still gives off a familiar vibe.
Tastes good, just like SNPA but with more hops, less caramel ratio. The price is twice as expensive as other harvests though, hard to justify purchasing this when the others are just as good and half the price. Only if you like to pay for local stuff I guess can you justify it.
More gimmicky than most SN beers, even though it is pretty much the same as almost all their hoppy offerings.
