Pours a light golden color. Crystal clear with a nice stark white head that retains decently and leaves ok lacing.
Nose is pretty lagery, slight appley grain flavor and subtle euro hops.
Pretty nice flavor. There is a slight bock-like presence, but this is very much a lager. That being said the yeast profile does seem slightly kolsch-like. Noticeably hoppier than the average bock, as the style suggests, but still not a hop forward beer. A clean beer, very easy drinking and certainly a good spring seasonal if you live somewhere like california, haha.
Mouthfeel is pretty good, a slight bit thick, but just fine for this beer.
Drinkability is strong. A nice flavorful and sessionable beer. The abv is pretty high, but this one drinks like a standard 5%er.
Overall, an enjoyable session beer, especially for the abv, but certainly nothing terribly exciting or palate invigorating. But for what it is, its a good beer.
