Pours a vibrant honey golden color with a creamy two inches of bone white head. Keeps a pretty full lace initially but then disappears completely. A couple bubbles rise pretty slowly to the top.
Smell is very grassy, with aromas of hay and bread as well. It does lean a bit toward the skunky end of the noble hop spectrum.
Taste is super flavorful and really nice. There's an underlying breadiness with some honey sweetness to it, on top of which is some really nice grassy hop flavor. Does not have the skunkiness of the smell, but instead has a bit of a citrus hop bite and a moderate bitterness.
Mouthfeel is a touch on the plus side of a medium body and pretty smooth, although the carbonation is quite soft, almost too much so, making it a tad bit heavy. Not substantially so, however; that's a minor complaint. Finishes clean.
This is some really tasty stuff; one of the better maibocks I've had the pleasure to drink. Another job well done by SN which rarely misses these days in my estimation...
