First off dont mind me saying that aquiring this beer means that you have to have a job. This beer comes in a 12pack of 3other sierra nevada camp beers. They wanted $45 for the 12 pack that is crazy.
Now that I got that out of the way and I am $45 more broke let me tell you this beer was pretty good. it had a 1finger light tan head. The beer was black in color. the juniper pine flavor really pulled through the bitter chocolate accents. and left a lasting bitterness on the tongue. I would try this again if it was a cheaper 6pack.

On tap at Toronado in San Diego, CA.
Pours an almost opaque super dark brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, citrus zest, and slight juniper berry. Taste is much the same with a cocoa flavor on the finish. There is a medium amount of roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is interesting but isn't as juniper forward as I was expecting.
