Consumed June 24th, 2012.
Beer pours a slightly hazy copper-orange. Good clarity despite the haze. One finger, super-creamy off-white head. Nice sheeting on glass.
Aroma - grassy and piney with a hint of caramel. Not as assertive as would be imagined for a beer with this name.
Flavor is a little malty and even a touch buttery up front. Then BAM!! Hop overload. Mint, herbal notes, pine, grapefruit rinds. Wet hops? Very bitter. Flavor is heavily weighted towards hops, as would be imagined for a beer with this name.
Dry and astringent on the finish, but not excessively so.
They hit the target on what they set out to achieve (as woudl be imagined for a beer with this... oh, never mind), but I'm in no hurry to have it again.
