On tap on home tap system: Kegged date N/A.
Appearance: maple syrup brown. Extremely nice leggings left after sip.
Smell: Some sweet malt caramel. Don't detect much in the smell department, probably the only ding on this beer.
Taste: smoooth. Did I say smooth? Yes smooth. Lingering slight sweet caramel. Not overly sweet at all, which is how I like a brown ale to taste.
Drinkablity high, did I say this is smooth?
Overall: Others have noted they wished more hops were present (because this is SN after all). Don't agree with that at all. This in my mind is closer to a English Brown Ale than American. Good indeed!
Serving type: on-tap

Sampled tonight on 6/26/14. Found this bottle in the back of the cooler so it is a good year old I am guess BUT there isn't a expiration date anyone on the bottle and this brew is now RETIRED and no longer brewed. But opened it and it was fine. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a 14 ounce glass 'Texas style " boot.
Pours a clear dark brown in color with a good 3-finger off-white head! Good carbonation with some sediment left in the bottom of the bottle. The aroma is of roasted malts, hazel nut and brown sugar. Very nice! The taste is close to the aroma but not as strong BUT pretty good overall with all the flavors mentioned above coming through lots of the hazelnut 'nut' flavor in the mix. A slight dry smoke finish but still good.
